Hedrine, God's light shone so brightly in your smile and spirit sweet CRHP sister. Those who knew you could not help but be touched by the faith, joy and hope in Him that radiated from you. With all you faced, that seemed so insurmountable, your light continued to shine forth steady, strong and full of grace. Praying for God's healing comfort for your family. Hedrine, you lived out our CRHP scripture from Isaiah 41:10, a steadfast trust in God, standing firm in faith and radiating calm and courage in all seasons of life. Love and miss you sister! In life certain people cross your path and leave such an impression, you know it’s God working through them. Hedrine was one such person for me. I first met her in C.R.H.P. Women’s Retreat and though she was going through chemotherapy treatment, her presence and smile drew you towards her. I witnessed her unwavering strength and love at Gabriel’s baptism. I saw her determination to mother her son while lying in a hospital bed, covering him in lotion and hugs. Drawing on her unwavering strength and faith, she left the hospital to give her witness at the next. C.R.H.P.. Women’s Retreat. So grounded in her love for Jesus and the Eucharist, she shared her faith with all of us. She fought for every moment possible to spend with Samuel and Gabriel. Hedrine had a special glow about her and radiated love through her eyes. Thank you dear sister for making my faith stronger. Love, Kathy Edwards (CRHP Sister)

These lyrics from the song In the Eyes of the Song by Ryan Stevenson I am reminded of Hedrine and how she lived her life. Unless you knew her would you know the battle she faced. And through that battle, the storm that raged around her she always kept her eyes on Jesus. Always pointing to Him. Always desiring more of Him. She walked in peace of knowing and walking with the Holy Trinity. The peace that is the eye of the storm. I will always be grateful for her witness of how to walk in the storm of life with ones eyes on our maker. " the eye of the storm, You remain in control In the middle of the war, You guard my soul You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm Mmh, when my hopes and dreams are far from me, and I'm running out of faith I see the future I picture slowly fade away And when the tears of pain and heartache are pouring down my face I find my peace in Jesus' name"-Eye Of The Storm by Ryan Stevenson Kim Parks. Sweet Hedrine, Although I did not know you long, I will never forget you. Your gentle way, your unshakable faith, your strength have made a permanent imprint. The Lord moved through you in the most graceful and powerful way. May your courage, perseverance, and love continue to be an example to us. I will love you always. Denise Bowers (CRHP Sister)
Dear Hedrine, I know that your unwavering spiritual strength & beauty has always radiated to everyone you touched as it did at the 2024 Christ Renews His Parish retreat. And it has made a permanent impression on my life. Even while you were suffering greatly, you came to the retreat to share your deep faith and love of the Eucharist with all of us and the impact of your presence and testimony continues to touch me and many others today. I recall you mentioning your favorite Scriptures, one being Romans 8:38-:39: For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank you, Hedrine, for sharing your deep love for God and being a beacon of light, love and hope to me. I am blessed to have had you in my life and to know you’ll always be my Sister in Christ. May God continue to bless you and may your beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. Felicity Johnson (CRHP Sister)
